The Importance of Letters for Children, but also All People and Ages / Gratitude :)

This past week, we took a deep dive into the art of children’s books and thank you letters! The children’s books were wonderful! I have always though children’s books held a beautiful presence in the world. They can be so impactful to kids, and adults even! It is a fantastic way for kids to let their imagination glow and grow. I especially loved the crayon book about the crayons going on strike…! Most children can relate to crayons – it is a classic part of their childhood, coloring and drawing. Having that thing to relate to and seeing it in a story, then seeing them unfold with characters, feelings, thoughts, and stories, is a beautiful thing for them! Since they understand the use of crayons, they can laugh along with the book, and imagine these things. And for those who don’t know much about crayons yet, well this is a great way to learn…!

I also very much appreciated the assignment we had to do on the thank you letter. Letter writting is such a wonderful art that shows such genuine passion and authentic emotion. It takes so much effort to write, package, and deliver a letter, and on the flip side, it takes a lot of time and energy to read the letter, too! This just goes to show the beautiful and authentic love that is behind these letters that really drives them to be written and read:) I had a great time writting my thank you letter. It was to someone who I consider a second mom, my elementary school music teacher, who became my mentor and took me to all of my auditions throughout middle and high school. I forever cherish our train and car ride chats filled with laughter, advice, sleep, and playing catch up. I have always thought that letter writting was amazing, but this class opened my eyes to it even more, and I definitely want to keep writting letters to people 🙂
